With over a decade of surgical experience, our lead surgeon has been a part of the Department of Surgery at William Osler Health System since 2012 and currently serves as the Site Chief of General Surgery at Brampton Civic Hospital. Past surgical appointments have also included Toronto East General Hospital, further contributing to a broad and diverse clinical background.

Bariatric surgeries and related procedures have been performed at Toronto Sleeve Surgery since 2010, resulting in hundreds of successful outcomes. We believe that Sleeve Gastrectomy marks the beginning—not the end—of a patient’s transformation. Our team takes the time to listen, understand, and help guide each patient toward the most informed and confident decision possible. We utilize state-of-the-art equipment and refined techniques to ensure a smooth, effective, and safe surgical experience.

The lead surgeon holds an honours degree in Economics from the University of Toronto, followed by a Doctor of Medicine degree from the same institution. A five-year surgical residency was completed at the prestigious Department of Surgery at the University of Toronto, with training rotations at leading hospitals including University Health Network, Mount Sinai Hospital, St. Michael’s Hospital, and Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Additional specialization in minimally invasive surgery was achieved through a Clinical Fellowship at Toronto East General Hospital.

Professional affiliations include membership in the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, Fellowship in the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and membership in the Ontario Association of General Surgeons as well as the Obesity Medicine Association. The lead surgeon is also a SCOPE-certified specialist in obesity medicine, reinforcing our clinic’s dedication to excellence in patient care.
